Zion-Grace Photos

We were lucky enough to have literally thousands of photos taken during this journey. Basically I tried to have a lifetimes worth of photos taken during a very short time. What follows are some of my favorites.

All of these photos were either taken by us, friends, family, or (the really good ones) by Kelly Bennett a Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Photographer. Some of the photos were also touched up by Kelly. You can visit Kelly's website at www.kellybennettphotography.com

If you know someone who is going to have a stillborn or a baby that will pass away soon after birth have them contact Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep to find amazing photographers who will provide them with priceless photos for free. www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org

Check back often as I will be adding more photos.

Family photos a few weeks before Zion-Grace was born

Zion-Grace meeting her Grandma Steed and her Grandpa Steed. The round puffy ball crown was made by her sister Natalie.

Zion-Grace meeting her Grandma Clixie and her Grandpa Pete.

Zion-Grace meeting her sister Natalie and brother Spencer.

Spencer and Natalie with their Grandma Steed waiting outside the delivery room. I love these photos of her little hands.

I had promised Zion-Grace before she was born that I would help her to taste chocolate before she passed away. I had even brought a bag of Guittard chocolate chips to the hospital with me. But in the excitement of her being born I had totally forgotten about the promise. That is until 30 some odd minutes after her birth when I remembered the promise. I quickly got out the chocolate and this picture is of her probably becoming the youngest person ever to taste chocolate. You might also recognize this photo from the Road to Bittersweet slide show. When you watch the slideshow again you will probably smile when you hear the words of the song when this picture is shown.
